God Made Me and Calls Me

Tuesday 6th March 2012 ~ 9:45am - 4:00pm

Cost £21

An opportunity to reflect on different aspects of our lives, identify our strengths, and discern where God may be leading us in the future. This programme starts from the assumption that God calls everyone, not just those with identifiable church 'ministries', and that people of every age group can discover their unique place in God's plan. Drawing on their own life-story and on scripture, participants will construct a ‘personality pyramid’ summarizing their strengths and experience at three ‘levels’: as human beings, as followers of Christ, and as people with a particular ‘vocation’.

About Eileen
Eileen Turner is a adult educator and Anglican priest, working for several dioceses in parish ministry and theological education, latterly as Director of Extension Studies at St John's College Nottingham. She has a particular interest in enabling all Christians to discover God's unique call, which is to be worked out not only in the context of the church but in all of life. Eileen has two adult sons and three grandaughters. Born and bred in Sheffield, she has recently returned to her roots in retirement and is working as a volunteer in local churches and with the Whirlow Spirituality Centre.
