Becoming Who You’re Meant to Be!

The aim of Whirlow Grange Spirituality Centre is to support and equip people on their spiritual journey and to help them discover who they’re meant to be for Christ. We do this in a range of ways – through different styles of worship, providing quiet spaces to simply be and of course our programme of day workshops and residential retreats. But we are also committed to providing opportunities for people to spend a more extended period of time focussing more deeply on who they are called to be, discovering and maybe rediscovering their gifts.

We offer two courses to enable this:
Spiritual Growth and Transformation (SG&T)
Over the course of 7 months participants are given a safe and sacred space in which to explore, reflect and share their own experience of their relationship with God, and themes such as images of God, images of self, the spiritual journey and personal call are explored.

This is not an academic course and the most important requirement is that participants are willing to enter into the journey, seeking deeper relationship with God and to grow in faith and develop skills listening to God, scripture, self and others.

The next course runs from October 2012 – April 2013 including a residential retreat and costs £645 (payable in instalments – please do not let cost prevent you from applying)

Join us at one of our taster sessions:
22 March 2012 – 10-12noon, Whirlow Grange Spirituality Centre or,
29 March 2012 – 7.15-9.15pm, St Peter’s Church, Warmsworth, Doncaster

The Art of Spiritual Accompaniment (ASA)
This course, running over 5 months, builds on what was experienced in SG&T but is more focussed on developing the skills of discerning listening, exploring and practicing a range of approaches to prayer and to introduce the practice of Spiritual Accompaniment. It’s particularly aimed at those who feel drawn to listening to other’s faith journeys, companioning others on their journey or sense a call to the ministry of Spiritual Accompaniment/Direction.

Again this is also a non-academic course, although journaling and the completion of homework is required.

The next course runs from January – May 2013 and costs £795 including a residential retreat (payable in instalments – again, please do not let cost prevent you from applying)
